This week I’m packing up the studio and driving down to Seinäjoki for Seinäjoen käsityömessut (the Seinäjoki Handicraft Fair), running 2–4 October 2026 at Seinäjoki Arena Church. If you’ve ever wanted to flip through prints in person, see an original watercolor up close, or just say hello, this is one of those rare chances.

Markets like this are where a lot of the “behind the curtain” chaos I mentioned in my first post actually happens – counting stock the night before, double-checking I haven’t forgotten the card reader, and hoping the weather cooperates for the drive. But they’re also my favorite part of the year. There’s something different about handing someone a print in person and watching their face when they recognize a piece from a photo they’d only seen online.

What I’ll have with me

Expect the usual range of everyday-magic things made from the original artwork: prints, cards, stickers, and a few of the wearable and home items from the shop. If originals are more your interest, the mini-gallery back in Rovaniemi at Huvilatie 8–10 B11 is always open for a visit, and new pieces make their way into the online store as they’re finished.

Seinäjoki is just the first of several stops before the year is out – I’ll also be part of the Helsinki Book Fair in late October, and a handful of winter markets after that. I get a lot of lovely commission requests, and I want every one of them to turn into a piece the person genuinely loves. Here’s what helps me get there faster:

Think about these five things first

• Budget – sharing a rough number helps me suggest the right size and technique for you.
• Size – this is one of the biggest factors in price and timeline.
• Subject – what do you want included? You can leave some of it up to me, but flag anything essential.
• Technique – watercolor, pencil, colored pencil, marker, or digital – each has its own feel.
• Reference photos – the sharper and larger, the better the result.

And if you’re able to give me a little creative freedom within your brief, it usually leads to a more natural, alive final piece – while still landing exactly what you wanted.

Rough pricing

Every commission is priced individually, but as a starting point: a lightly-detailed A4 watercolor starts around 150€, while a highly-detailed A1 piece runs closer to 1600€. Full breakdown is on the Services & Pricing page.

I was born in 1993 in Oulainen, a tiny Finnish village, one of thirteen in a big, noisy family. I always slipped away to the forest alone – there I was the fastest horse in the world, or the most skilled tiger, or a seal gliding through the lake. Every game I played was really the first draft of a story.

That same instinct for wonder still guides every painting I make: watercolor washes, fantastical creatures, and quiet nature scenes that turn an ordinary page into somewhere else entirely.

Jasu Wonder World began as a personal artistic journey rooted in a love for watercolor painting and meaningful visual expression. Over time, it grew into a creative brand where the original artwork isn’t only displayed as art, but transformed into products people can enjoy in everyday life – a mug that brightens a morning, a print that adds life to a room, a card that carries a thoughtful message.

2016 is when it all officially started. I’m still self-taught, still based in Finland, and still chasing that same feeling from the forest – just with a paintbrush instead of bare feet on moss.
