I get a lot of lovely commission requests, and I want every one of them to turn into a piece the person genuinely loves. Here’s what helps me get there faster:
Think about these five things first
- Budget – sharing a rough number helps me suggest the right size and technique for you.
- Size – this is one of the biggest factors in price and timeline.
- Subject – what do you want included? You can leave some of it up to me, but flag anything essential.
- Technique – watercolor, pencil, colored pencil, marker, or digital – each has its own feel.
- Reference photos – the sharper and larger, the better the result.
And if you’re able to give me a little creative freedom within your brief, it usually leads to a more natural, alive final piece – while still landing exactly what you wanted.
Rough pricing
Every commission is priced individually, but as a starting point: a lightly-detailed A4 watercolor starts around 150€, while a highly-detailed A1 piece runs closer to 1600€. Full breakdown is on the Services & Pricing page.
